A look back in pictures!

From November 23rd to 25th , 2021, the Pierre Baudis Congress Center welcomed the fourth edition of “C’Nano: The Nanoscience Meeting”, that has been organized by C'Nano, the French national competency cluster in Nanoscience of CNRS. The goal was to gather the scientific pluridisciplinary communities in nanoscience and nanotechnologies in order to promote interdisciplinary exchanges and stimulate the emergence of new research axes in the “nano” field. The C’Nano GSO board and the CEMES - CNRS laboratory, both localized in Toulouse, have played a special role in the congress organization.

The face-to-face feature of this edition, enabled researchers, engineers, doctorates and post-doctorates enabled attendees to exchange 3 days long on their research works with subject experts as well as to enrich themselves with other research topics in the “nano” field in the spirit of openness and interdisciplinarity.

Despite postponements difficulties due to the COVID-19 pandemic situation, the scientific community strongly mobilize itself and was amazingly motivated to join the congress. Indeed, 400 academics and industrial researchers from France and from abroad attended the congress: a real success! This massive mobilization clearly shows the high interest of the scientific community in the “nano” field in this highly interdisciplinary meeting gathering scientific from various backgrounds: physicians, chemists, engineers, biologist, pharmacists, physicists, toxicologists, etc.

A top quality scientific program!

Plenary sessions
The scientific program included 5 scientific plenary conferences given by world-renowned international researchers: Jacqueline BLOCH (CNRS – C2N, France),Suzanne GIASSON (Univ. of Montréal – GRUM – CRMAA, Canada), Julie GROLLIER (CNRS – UMPhy, France), Francesca MORESCO (Dresden University of Technology – CFAED, Germany) and Teresa PELLEGRINO (ITT – Central Research Labs Genova, Italy).
